Thanks very much Alice and Karen. I even remembered not to press 'enter' at the end of each line >g< to get to the next one! Such a professional presentation. Thanks again for this. Hope the next stage goes smoothly for you. . In message , AliceW writes
Thanks Connie but things are actually good here for a change, its just that I work the grave yard shift and sleep during the day, well I am supposed to that is. I am finding that I cant live on 4 hour naps, with the hard 8 hour shifts that I do. I just need someone to rock me to sleep during the day preferably with a very large heavy rock so that I could get the 7 or 8 hours that I need. DawnInAlberta When Life gets you down get up and Mambo
It's ok to peek but I really need to update ALL these pages. I am trying to get away from FrontPage but will wait until the Directory is published since that is a subdirectory on my webpage and I don't want to tempt the fates.
Anyway, Kirby is doing great. He is my husband's dog though. Westies tend to bond with one person and he picked the DH. I guess that's fair considering Brandy and Paisley were all mine. Kirby loves to go fishing with my husband and has to check out the bait, chase birds and bark when the surf poles bend under the weight of a fish. He has a hoodie just like the DH that he wears as well. He's a hoot to see him in it. He used to wear sweaters but he doesn't like them and actually takes them off in the Jeep.
He went through a tough time when Paisley left us and didn't eat for almost a week. Then he got attached to Scraps the cat until she also crossed the bridge. Now it's just him and Gypsy the cat. He plays with her and steals her little catnip mice and she tolerates him well. She drinks his water and nibbles at his food when she gets the chance. He watches her doing this of course through little slits in his eyes.
He has turned into quite a good little guy. He'll sit with me when I sew or read and I am content being second fiddle. I reward him by opening the gate so he can bolt up the stairs at 8 am on the weekends to wake up his "master" with wet sloppy kisses before settling down next to him for a nap!
And the way we created the directory way back before Alice made her easy form was horrendous! (I think it was version 5 or so that I took over, maybe later. I don't remember). I used to have everyone email the info to me and I would cut and paste each piece of info into a Word document. Of course, I was big on tedious jobs back then, so I didn't mind so much. I just really hated when people would type their info in ALL CAPS! LOL Oh, then when you told them only 2 fav colors... they would send it as blue, purple, red, green orange, brown, black. Hmmm. As long as there wasn't a space, it was ONE color! LOL Loopholes!
I learned from the best without a doubt! Even with the info coming from the form I couldn't do it as quickly as you could doing it manually. Bowing back at you!
Ditto from me Alice and Karen. What a huge task! Thank you. Got my form filled in and sent, hope I see when your email comes in... I got 503 messages to wade through today.... from this group alone... I missed checking in a couple of days... ahhhh! Sorry temporary insanity..
