embroidered sayings on quilt

I am making a kaleidescope quilt for college son who can't be with us this xmas. He will be working in another part of the country. I knew this would happen some day. Anyway I want to put sayings on the quilt and wondering if someone might have suggestions other than the usual I love you.......

How about "I love you" in a variety of languages? You could use "Xs and Os", "Hugs", "Take Care", "Be safe", "Call your mom", etc.

I quilted phrases in my son's HS graduation quilt border (he hasn't mentioned if he has noticed them yet). They included:

exercise eat your veggies call home smile dance be a friend read a book

Mary

"Dance like there's no-one watching"

"Love like it's never going to hurt"

"Take some time each day to stop and smell the flowers by the roadside"

"Before you were conceived, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you." And I think that the last line goes something like.. "And now you are here, I would die for you." But I really don't like that last line.

Here's one I learned from my own parents: 'It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.'
