emotional times

FIL died last week. The funeral is on Thursday, so we are driving down tomorrow. It's going to be a very sad time.

I want to get 10-20 of his shirts and make lap quilts for all five of his children, including DH. I hope that step-MIL has not given away the shirts yet. (She's a bit loopy.)

To top it off, we had a send-off lunch to a coworker today who is being mobilized to Baghdad. He's not my best friend, but he's in the cubicle next to me, so it'll be an obvious vacancy.

Anita,

It is so nice of you to think of others right now. Lap quilts from his shirts is a very nice idea.

I am so sorry for your loss and your families loss. Prayers are being sent your way.

Anita- I am so sorry for your loss. Making a quilt will be a wonderful memory keepsake for the family members. Bless you for being so thoughtful.

Hugs,

(((Anita))) You are in my prayers. How wonderful of you to think of his kids during this time. I'm sure they will all treasure the quilts.

That would be a really nice gesture. Also ties? If anybody watched Martha Stewart Show on the day they celebrated nurses. You'll see that somebody took Martha's mom's pink cashmere sweater and made a Teddy Bear and outfitted it in her mom's plaid pants. Pami
