EQ6

Last weekend at my Guild Xmas party/meeting, I ordered the EQ6 program. We placed an order for 6 items from AQS, so received a 30% discount. Now I'm worried that I won't understand it, or be able to use it. Hopefully, I'll have it before Xmas (so my DH can wrap it and put it under the tree). I'm so excited.....how many out there have EQ and use it? Any advice for me when it arrives?

I use mine all the time. Just follow the cookbook for the first bit and just experiment. Call for questions if you need help. It is really very user friendly. I love my EQ5 and hopefully am getting the upgrade from my husband this christmas.

Alice, I have it and *love* it! There's a very good manual that comes with it, complete with some introductory lessons. There are other books you can buy, too, if you feel like it, and there are lots of step-by-step lessons on the EQ website. You should join the Info-EQ email list, because there are lots of people who ask questions, and there are some *very* knowledgeable people (EQ staff, others) who answer.

Enjoy! :)

You'll love it. Just follow the cookbook to get started. But it is very intuitive. It works the way we think about quilts: blocks, rows, columns, borders, etc. Be sure to click every menu item to see what it does. There aren't a lot of them.

Any questions, just ask. There are a lot of EQ users here. And there is a super EQ online community with lots of help and patience with newbies. This one is my favorite; go here to sign up.

Play. Play. Play.

Play early and often.

Love it. It's very relaxing to just design and not care whether the quilts get made.

The software comes with some basic instructional videos as well, and you can re-play them any time.
