Well, I've had EQ6 on the desk top PC for awhile but am looking to get a laptop for personal use. I am wondering about the screen size in regard to functionality of the EQ6 designs. Your opinion and advice is welcome. Thank you in advance, Pat in Virginia

17 inch is what I'm using now, love it
I have EQ6 installed on my PC with a19" regular (not widescreen) monitor and also my laptop which has a 13" widescreen. Not sure what you mean about functionality, but it works and looks just fine on both computers. I actually prefer it on the smaller screen, it is sooo much easier on my eyes :) Mickie
I use it on a laptop with no problem. Not sure of my screen size but it isn't a large one. And the portability of a laptop is great!!

Just an FYI (from the FAQ on the EQ site)

About Activation
If EQ6 only has four activations, does it take an activation each time I have to reinstall the program? Once you install EQ6 on a computer, reinstalling on that same computer is not considered an activation, unless you change the computer considerably, such as getting a new hard drive. This means under normal situations you can install and reinstall continuously on the same computer.
When you purchase software, most or at least some software only allow you to legally install on one computer. So if you have a PC and a laptop, that would require two separately purchased and registered copies to be legal. Is that true for EQ as well? We allow more installation possibilities. We realize you may have a desktop, a laptop, a computer at work, and possibly one at another home, and want to install EQ6 on all of them. This does not break copyright law, since you are the only one using EQ6 on these computers. But there are only 4 activations possible. If you bought a new computer and have already used 4 activations, you would not be able to install again.
I teach and demonstrate. How will the activations limit affect me? We have a plan for providing CDs for those who are teaching classes. Teachers will not need to use their own CDs to install on classroom computers. Please contact us and give us your class location, date and times.

Thank you to all who responded. I am glad to learn that the smaller screens provide good functionality. (IOW, the designs are still comfortable to use and are not too small.) I'll let you know what I finally decide and how it works out. Michelle, thanks for the FAQ update. I was thinking that EQ6 has three activations; good to know it allows four. I've used just two, so this is fine. PAT
I have EQ6 on my laptop, and keep it on my work table as I go along. It's great for keeping track of the dimensions for adding sashing and borders, etc. I really need to practice EQ6 more, though, as there are so many functions that I haven't used yet.
