xyron, Cricut, personal die cutters

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here has any preferences or comparisons with regard to the personal die cutters.

The Xyron cutter and the Cricut (spelling?) seem to be in most of the craft stores. It looks like the "books" of designs that you purchase for the Cricut are a bit more expensive than the ones for the Xyron.

Any opinions on which one is better? Ease of use (since I am pretty much technically inept) is important for me.

Thanks kindly for any advice.

I have the Cricut which I like very much but if I had to do it all over again I would buy the wishblade since it can cut any true type font. Economically the Cricut and just 2-3 additional cartridges will cost more than the wishblade so the wishblade is a better deal.

As for the xyron personal cutting system the cuts are inferior to those made by the Cricut in my opinion.

Lea,

I have seen the Xyron Cutter used and own the Cricut. I chose the Cricut because you have more size choice, design choice, can cut much larger dies and eventually they will be adding the ability to hook to a computer by USB. That is from customer service, just no date given. As for the Wishblade, it is more expensive and there is nowhere I could use coupons when I bought the Cricut. Also even once you can use it with the computer, you can still use without a computer which you can not do with the Wishblade. Plus Customer Service is amazing at Cricut. HTH
