Thought this could be a quick separate message. Bek's surgery is set for 845am on Monday. Great timing as far as I'm concerned.
If we don't get a lot of snow and the schools are open (they have been closed ALL week), I can take DS to school, then make it ot the hospital in plenty of time.
If we *do* get lots of snow, hubby will be staying home with DS and I can still make it to the hospital with DD....
then there's the middle ground....if hubby goes to work and schools are closed or delayed, I can take DS to a friends house (she lives in the next school district over) and she will get him to school or watch him until surgery is done.
So...that's the update....her boxing coach has said that he will do his best to also be there for her and for me. If at all possible, we will be with her until she goes to sleep, then we will be in the waiting room until she is awake again.
Coach also lectured me about having bitten my nails down to the quick and told me that, since Bek couldn't box until sometime after the
16th, I need to stop biting and bring her wraps when I take DS for karate, and he will let me go a few rounds on the heavy bags and such.Will let you know how things work out sometime after we all recover from the stress...
