Owl Quilt WIP

Feb 05, 2010 12 Replies

So I thought I'd start this thread to share my progress on my first quilt. It's an Amy Bradley quilt. It's technically a children's quilt, but I love it so I'm making it for me.

I'm currently working on ironing the fusible to the fabric and cutting out pieces.

Here's some blue owls. I'm doing blue, green, and purple owls.

The blues are gorgeous! rusty-

They're really appealing, Sarah. You're doing well. First quilt, eh?! Great start - sorry you had fusible problems: not good with your first quilt. Hope you got that sorted. . In message , SarahU writes

Just to cute! How fun and no wonder you're keeping it for yourself. Baby sized quilts make perfect wall hangings and table toppers.

toowho to you :)

:Thanks everyone. I'm glad you guys like it. Yes Patti, I did get thoseissues sorted, thank goodness. Of course, it was all due to the help ofthe lovely quilters on here. I have 4 or 5 owls done in purple as well, soas soon as I finish cutting the last one out I'll post them here as well. I can't wait to keep working on this quilt. I'm having so much fun. I made doll blankets and clothing with a lot of help from my mother(who is a quilter) when I was 7, but I have never made my own quilt.
