Tuesday (OT)

Good afternoon. I just have to share the last few days with you. Last week, a new floor was laid in the gymnasium at my school. On Friday, we were told not to go to school because of the fumes. Wonderful! Then on Monday morning, we had gotten so much snow that ALL schools were closed to allow the snow clearing equipment to do its job. Monday afternoon, we went to school, and the fumes were worse than they were on Thursday, especially on the third floor. SO today, we were closed again. On Friday, I knitted. On Monday morning, I shoveled snow. Today, I read and slept. What a wonderful week! The fumes are almost completely dissipated now, so things will be back to normal tomorrow.

Lucky you, I love those unexpected holidays. You should have done something wild and wooly. Right.....!! that is what you did.

Hi Katherine,

You may find that the fumes will still be there for a good week or more. We had a school in our area last year that experienced the same thing and it took over a week to clear them out. Too bad it's not summer so they could open the windows. At least you get some quality knitting time.

Hugs,

Nora

It was! WOnderful day!

Higs, Katherine (and today I got my official acceptance to Presbyterian College for the Master of Divinity Programme. Can things get any better?)

LOL I could, Nora, but I chose not to knit today. I read, and napped, and pampered myself shamefully. And, as I just mentioned to Els, I have officially been accepted to Presbyterian College for Master of Divinity Programme, so this has been a great day.

Sounds like a dream for the pupils!! (Not mention loadly: For the teachers too;-) But here they would have hired a place where we could work with planning.... no knitting or reading.... I'm sure! :-| AUD ;-)

Really, Aud? And what happens when the weather is too bad for the students to go to school?

It is NEVER too bad, Katherine! LOL! You have to get to the school one way or another! I remember we had to send the pupils home first day after Christmas, there had been a very cold periode, and the school was not warm enough( They did not turn the owerns "higher" early enough) then the students went home, we went to the headmaste for planning!! LOL!!!
