I just updated to eq6, and wanted to let everyone know that the recentnegative post about it is incorrect. My package came with a paperspecifically stating..."You can uninstall and reinstall over and over on the same computerto different drives, partitions, or under diggerent user profiles eachtime without using a new activation.""The purchase of EQ6 includes 4 activations, which means 4 computers(unless you reformat drives or upgrade Windows). These 4 activiationsare intended to last for the life of your software. We stonglysuggest that you install EQ6 on one computer and save the remaining 3activation for future computers or for possible computer failure."so what I understand from this is that my new software will lastforever since"New activations are used when you:1. install and activate on a different computer2. reformat the drive on which windows is installed3. reinstall windows using a different windows product key"Anyone out there ever find themselves in that position?Musicmaker

Actually, I think that would be one of the easiest, "I need an activation through no fault of my own" reasons to prove. I have a police report and insurance papers documenting the theft.

I have windows ME...and have never reformatted. Again , I haven't a clue how to ! Although I am in the market for a new computer so that I can use EQ6 that I bought last year ! Mary
