I want to make a small wall hanging for my plastic surgeon who made me feel whole again since my mastectomy. I have his logo on his business card which he drew himself. He likes to paint mirror images. Does anybody out here have a embroidery machine that could put this on a 6 1/2 square? I thought of using photo transfer but I think to stitch it on would be great. I know he would hang this in his office. He is one of the nicest doctor's I've ever known. I actually bought a sun dress with the stretchy elastic top yesterday and 1 year ago I couldn't do that so he sure has helped me move on. Many be wondering about my hair..yes it has grown back...it is about 3" long all around the head and curly. Lots of people love the new hair on me....as for me....ahhhhhhhh!! Pami

Pami! If memory serves (well, I *can* remember yesterday), you proudly announced the arrival of a new Janome. You can embroider that logo yourself. You will have to do some practice and experimenting to get the tensions and stabilizer just right but you certainly can do it. Since it's to be framed, you wouldn't even have to diddle with removing the stabilizer. Begin with something very simple such as a little picture of a beach ball or sunflower and play with that wonderful new Janome. You have accomplished so much I honestly believe you could fly. Er, ummm. . . . please do stay off of the garage roof. Polly

If you can scan the logo, I can try to digitize it if it is not too complex.

I did see that in the book but his card image is a mirror image of a head with a hand in the middle of it. Pami

You could print the image on fabric and hand embroider over the print. You don't have to fill all the colours in - maybe just a simple stem stitch around each shape in a shade darker thread would be enough.

I have an embroidery machine and some digitizing software, if the design is not too complex I could give it a shot for you. Just shoot me an email if you want me to try it.

Thanks Diana...I don't seem to get on as much as I want...some days I have tons of energy and down the next. I figured I would give the doctor something special before I go in for my last surgery. If I can't get this done I will make him a big can of Pizzelles. I use the 3 pound coffee can to put them in. it keeps them nice. Pami

If you don't find someone, let me know and I can try it. I am a novice at digitizing but know someone who can help me get it done. I also have a 9500 Janome to embroider with.
