We received our issue of Smithsonian Magazine this weekend and there is a nice article about the Gee's Bend, Alabama quilts and the ladies involved during this time. It is actually on-line as well so here is the link.

Thanks for the link to the Smithsonian site, Steve! I was wondering when the next exhibition would hit the road. I so enjoyed the showing in Cleveland; the ladies were absolutely delightful! While here Mr. Arnett mentioned that there would be a second exhibition but could not give a schedule. While I know not everyone appreciates this style of quilting, it is pure eye candy for me! Looks like I will be hitting the road to see the new exhibition - can't wait! DeNise
