Geometric shapes online coloring?

Does anyone know of an online site where I can draw my own geometric shapes and then color them in? Quilters might - I am looking for something to design my own quilt pattern and want to try a couple of ideas.

TIA!

Linda

You can do quite a bit in Microsoft Word -- utilizing the drawing toolbar. There are all kinds of shapes... squares, diamonds, hex's, circles, triangles, stars, hearts... and you can flip them and rotate them....

There are tons of things you can do! Using those tools is one of the topics I developed a couple of classes on...and just taught it to my own guild. They loved it!

Email me off list and I can provide you additional help.

PS -- I use 2003 and prior -- not sure how things work in the 2007 version of Word. I know the menus are quite different.

One hint... when drawing any shape -- hold the SHIFT key while drawing to get a perfectly proportional shape. You can also double click -- which will open the FORMAT SHAPE dialog box -- and you can set an exact size (height & width) for your shape.

Also -- play with the Shadow & 3D settings toolbar. It's amazing what you can do with those!

Remember -- you can print your designs on fabric too!

PS -- the drawing toolbar USUALLY displays across the bottom of the Word window. If you don't have any kind of toolbar down there... click on View --> Toolbars then click on DRAWING to turn it on.

Thanks - I've tried that - but my problem is it's hard to draw consistently the same size boxes, etc. I was hoping there was a site where I could drag and drop and then use a fill, like in Paint.

draw one shape, copy/paste it onto your drawing board, drag that shape into position as needed. both paint and MS Word have the fill feature. i find Word easier to position the drag and drop of shapes. i played with Word copy/pasting multiple hexagons quick as a wink, worked a treat. i then used the outline make a new shape for the diamonds between the hexs, copy/pasted that into all the spaces and then fille in the colours. thats a snap too. Thanks, Kate. j.
