Today is DS's 17th birthday.
Keep in mind that the dear child was due on February 29th (1988 was a leap year) and contractions began on March 3rd. We were sent home twice for "failure to progress" despite regular contractions.
On March 11th, DH went with me to my OB appointment - I was having contractions every 5 minutes, so he didn't think I would be safe to drive myself the 25 miles to the doctor's office. I told the doctor that I was NOT going home. He was going to admit me to the hospital - Labor & Delivery, Psych ward, his choice. Pitocin is my friend :)
DS has rarely been on time for anything in his life.
DH runs 4 blood drives a year at our church. The Red Cross has had their eyes on DS just waiting for his 17th birthday - he has 0-Negative blood and great veins. Blood drive is in 2 weeks.
