Happy New Year to All - not all OT

I know Xmas and New Year are well and truly over but I haven't had much chance to check out the ng since middle of December. So to all of you I hope you had a great Xmas and a wonderful New Year and that you were all safe. {{{{HUGS}}}} to those who need them. It was great to sit down with you all this morning and catch up on the news and the recipes and the goings-on. Seems like ages since I was able to read all the messages.

I've been away from the ng for the best of reasons - I started a new job early in Dec and its going great. It is taking a while to get used to working full time - for the past few years I've worked 2-3 days a week. I could manage on that, pay the bills etc, I could even have S.E.X and do my patchwork/quilting (this is the On Topic bit ;-p) but wasn't making much headway on the travelling I want to do. And that travelling became even more important when I was sick this time last year. Chemo and hospitals made me realise I 'd been putting off a lot of things that I really wanted to do and I don't want to do that anymore. Hence the decision to work full-time.

The other reason I've been away from ng is that my brother has been staying with me since our DF died in July. DB had lived with DF for the past 16 years and was having trouble dealing with the loss on his own - they lived in Brisbane and I live in Perth - thats like NY and LA. So he moved over here. But until he got a job a couple of weeks ago I couldn't get near the computer :-((

Anyway now that Xmas is over and we are both working maybe I can visit more often and get some patchwork done. Take care all

How wonderful that you are making even more positive advances, Heather. It's great that you have a job you like - you are there, after all, a large part of the day! I hope you and your brother do some powerful healing this year. . In message , Heather in WestOz writes
