Help with layout

Okay, I've made all the blocks I'm going to make for the batik/beachy wedding quilt thingy. Please have a look at the pictures if you have a moment and tell me what you think. I'm thinking the first layout on the page is my favorite but I'm happy to listen to any opinions offered!

that screws up, they're in the folder in my pic called Quilty Things, at the bottom. Thanks, and if the link doesn't work, nevermind;-P. I don't have the patience or skill to fix it anymore...;-)

I couldn't figure out the specific photos you wanted us to look at but I still had fun looking at stuff. NOW -- photo 69 , the kitty quilt center -- more info please. Where did you get the pattern??? I have several cat block design books so I might have it but I'm not sure and I'm too tired to get up and go look :-). I **must** have this -- it is just too cute and looks fairly easy, especially if it's made nice and BIG so I don't have to screw around with little one inch pieces :-). I don't "do" little pieces too well just because I don't like to do them

LOL... why isn't anyone seeing what I'm seeing? That's it... I'm moving my pictures to someplace that makes some freakin' sense... because photo 69 in All My Pictures is a picture of my Ernie in a mop bucket...

I have to assume you mean the kitties with the tails twined in the middle? If so, I have a .pdf from...Monarch was it? Anyway, I have the .pdf if you would like it. Jus send me an email at debikayem at earthlink dot net and I'll send it right back...or at least I will the next time I'm logged in... It is very cute, makes up about 24" total across and the middle, in case it's too hard to see, is a Snail Trail/Virginia Reel/whatever other name this block goes by.

Aw, nevermind the quilt layout. Did you see the picture of the beautiful big dog in his crate being invaded by a QI? Was that a happy face or does he look as though his patience is being sorely tried? Polly

I got 164 pictures to choose from, but couldn't identify batik/beachy wedding quilt thingy.

Lots of pretty kitties though - the one in a bucket did remind me of Kiwi - the cat who likes to be rescued from the flat roof by wicker shopping basket, but only when it is dark (does he think his friends would laugh at him! The other night he jumped in before DH was ready and the basket descended rather quickly - but that hasn't put him off. I now hold the basket some way from him so there is time to prepare before he hurls himself into it!

I found this centre last week on the QuiltZine site, done as a Mystery Quilt. As its a Mystery you have to look at the end to see the piccies!

LOL Polly. That is Clifford (the Medium Red Dog) and Ernie. Clifford actually maneuvered very carefully to be able to get into his crate and not disturb Ernie. He loves his kitties!

I made them public but that's okay, I'm going to try posting a link to Flickr and see if that works any better. If not, I give up. I'll just throw the blocks in the air and sew them together the way they come down! *VBEG*

that should be it. I signed out and everything so I could try and get this link posted...rrrr......

Oh Sally, that's funny. I have no doubt that if Ernie were allowed outside, there would be no end to the mischief he could get himself into. He's way too smart! Sorry about the photo confusion...

The wider of the options would be my favourite, too; not because of the

5x5 balance, though; but, because it gives the impression of wide beach and sea! If you want to go into further detail, how would you feel about putting the two blocks in the lowest red/orange half that contain a dark red up closer to the other dark-red-included blocks? The low down dark red, just seems to be a bit out of its place? . In message , Debi Matlack writes

And then, I wondered, but don't know if you can do this, flip the two bottom rows over so the bottom row is the middle row of the blues and the current middle is the bottom. I do much prefer the wider arrangement!

Good idea... I was trying for the surface to depths thing with the colors, but was limited by what I had on hand and what pieces I ran out of first! Thanks!

That sounds good. I probably missed that. I'm trying to arrange as much as I can, similar colors together Thanks!.
