Thanks, Estelle. I'm beginning to think feathers are "it"! :)

A spiral (except square instead of round) until you get to the edge of the center square, the one formed by the 4 corner triangles in different shades of the same color. You'd have to start a new stitching line in the middle of each square. then from the edge of the square, just free-hand stitch the spine of your feather plume in a gentle curve all the way around, roughly in the middle of the small HSTs, then go back to where the spine starts and do your feathers. Lots of stopping and starting, but that's what I'd do. Roberta in D

Hi Sandy,

Your quilt top is beautiful. I just love your colour choices. Regards quilting I'm not much good with that but before I read through everyone's suggestions more first thoughts were something curvy to contrast with the sharpness of the blocks. Something with circles.

Thanks, Elly! :) I'm liking the "curvy" idea more and more -- especially with feathers.

Aha! Thanks for the clarification, Roberta! :) Now I understand, and I've added your idea to my list of suggestions. It will take me a while to make a decision -- why is it so much easier to suggest a quilting pattern for someone else's quilt than it is for my own? LOL!

Howdy!

OMG! Pat! That's almost exactly what I envisioned for the quilting. GMTA. ;-P (Maybe we're eating the same kind of chocolate.)
