Cindy, I think you need adult supervision. Since I'm Grandmother of the Bride - and - the only sane head in the entire family on both sides, barefooted, uphill both ways, I just can't turn loose. Anybody want to go keep Cindy on track? Polly

I just bought some orange flavored cognac that I'm looking for an excuse to crack open. This may be it.

Ordinarily I'm either a Scotch drinker or those sweet, fruity, frozen types of drinks person, meself.

How's about you? Can I run you up something special??

Yes, that would work if I had bought 108" wide backing fabric. Unfortunately, my fabric is only 44", so some piecing of the border is necessary before I mash it onto the edge of the quilt.

Cindy, would it help to try to think of your long seams as lots of little short ones instead? Just sew a short seam from the beginning to the first pin, which you've cleverly placed no further along than you're comfortable sewing. Done. Now sew another short seam from there to the next pin. Done. Etc. Breaking it down into shorter sections might make it seem less formidable. I hope.

Cindy, I love good Scotch, but failing that a nice dry gin martini or -- even better -- a mango margarita is nice. ;)

I think it's going to a little easier now that I've got the first border on. The quilt center had tons of bias edges and seams. The other borders, until I get to the pieced border will be just straight sewing. I need to turn the machine speed down a little, I think. That should help me.

Ok, I'm going back in!

ARrrrrghhhhhhhhhthhh!!!!

I'll take a Daniels and 7 ;))

Today it is cold and windy enough to make a coffee and Kahlua or Irish Cream sound good, though

Ginger in CA you are taking drink orders, right? ;)

Yes, I was, Ginger. JD & 7 coming right up.

Although I myself have switched to Pepsi. The pieced border fits. I am stunned.
