I have a new toy.

I impulsively bought a Grace EZ quilting frame. I'd been looking at them for a while, but wouldn't spend the $300 to buy one. I found a good sale and took the plunge.

Does anyone have one? Are you pleased with it?

It's not like me to go out and spend that kind of money, but I got to thinking, my sewing machine is a hand-me-down from my mother; my quilting frame is a ceiling-mounted hand-me-down from my MIL. It's a pretty primitive process to load the quilt onto it and it takes up the whole room. So I *deserve* something new, of my own, no?

Funny how I can justify buying something I just plain wanted.

I've gotten heavy into baby quilts after I made two for the GS-to-be. I discovered I love the colors, I love working with less bulk and it just makes me happy to work on them. I have two sold already. I really hope this thing is well-suited for crib sized quilts. I might have discovered my "calling." At 54 years old, it's about time! :-)
