I Love my Hairy Eyebrows...yes I'm semi on topic

After having my DD and DGD who is 2 now live here since April, I watched them return home last Monday. Was I sad ....I don't think so. I had a plan. Like a whirling dervish I sorted and scrub and realigned my house back to an sedate middle aged adult's house instead of Taya's Grammyland Playhouse. I Then lovingly took our my sewing machine and placed her back on her throne and rightful position.... ON my KItchen Table. With trembling hands I set about cleaning the dust of the top of her then I gently opened her up and gave her a loving clean and a new shiny needle and sat back and enjoyed the vision of her back in her rightful place of honour. Now what should I do.....should start a new project should I find one of my WIP or UFO's hmmm. I settled on starting a new quilt for the spare room that we had just finished remodeling this year. I opened up my dresser drawers in search of the right colours and fabric as seeing how I haven't been able to do any serious quilting since April I had to resort to S.E.X. That's right I said my dresser drawers... I took my clothes and put them on the tiny shelves in the closet that held my stash and moved my stash to my dresser because ...well...I do have my priorities. The other bonus f using my dresser for fabric is that now when I do the laundry, my DH's clothes no longer sit on top of his dresser...For some reason he puts his clothes away now (perhaps he doesn't want me to use his dresser for fabric also) Anyway I found exactly what I was looking for and have now got a good start to a quilt top Yea haa. It's great to be Back!@!! The only thing at the moment that I regret about DD and DGD's departure is I now longer have my personal eyebrow plucker ...oh well I guess I need a good lighted magnifying mirror :) Now back to the sewing machine. Butterfly (first, you have to have a dresser)

Oh....but I did have withdrawals at times. There just didn't seem to be anywhere to get a moment of piece:) to myself. About my Stash....maybe while DH is away at work (he seems to do that a lot) I should swap dressers just to keep it hidden form you gals. Wouldn't that surprise him tooo. Donna inNWOntario

LOL! I loved reading this, Donna! My DGSs all live in town, but I know what you mean. Everything gets put/shut away when they're here. Much as I love them, it's nice to have my home back to orderly and quilting-friendly when they go home!

dearest old hag, first of all, where exactly are you in NW ON?? I'm in SW ON.....so maybe I could lead the others on that stash raid??? hhhhmmmm?? Your name made me laugh because in my family we all call each other "old hag" and it's an endearment. When other people hear us, they think we're awful! Until we explain at length....we say it with lots of love. And just for the sake of it, I gotta say I'd never be able to let anyone else pluck my eyebrows.....more painful that way. Somehow I can endure the pain better when inflicting it myself. But hey, maybe when I'm there for the raid, I can stop to give you a pluck!! ;) (yikes, that sounds almost rude, sorry ladies) allyson :)
