Hi Everybody!
I'm home. I flew off to Thunder Bay, Ontario a month ago, with the finished baby quilt in tow. The quilt turned out far better than I had even dreamed. Thanks to all of you and your help. Of course the airline lost the bag that had all my medications, quilt, and baby clothes. It arrived 5 days after I did. It all worked out ok in the end. I got $150.00 off my next flight. Not bad. A drug store there called my drug store here and arranged a weeks supply of my meds for me. It was dark and pouring rain by the time I headed out of town driving my sil's hummer. Yes you read that right! A Hummer! It was an experience let me tell you! I thought Screiber was 20-30 minutes down the road but it turned out to be 2 1/2 hours down the road! It was a scarry ride in the pouring rain. The highway looks like it is going right into Lake Superior in several places. I enjoyed myself immensely with the babies and have all the bruises to prove it! I'd like to have half the energy of a 21 month old baby! The new baby is gorgeous, of course! I flew home last Friday and slept almost solid for 4 days. Then we drove to Edmonton for an ultrasound on my son. That is my bad news. The doctor was shocked when he saw my son and ran a pile of tests on him. They came back saying his cortisol level was sky high. They redid them and they came back even worse. The doctor suspected Addison's disease but now he has changed it to Cushings. I don't know why as of yet. That is why we had to go for the ultrasound. They say it would have been caused by tumours in his adrenal glands. I'm scared to death. Now I have to wait until Thursday for the results. Please pray for my son. He was the one who sat by my bed all one night when I first got sick, looking after me. He fed me, washed me, dressed me and wiped away my tears for months. I want only good things for him.
So that has been my eventful month. Hope everyone here has been well and good! And got lots of sewing done!
