I'm home. :)

Let's see. I could drive to Amarillo and visit my folks for a few days....go to Flagstaff. Possibly head down to Scottsdale to see all my old buddies...head back to Amarillo...then back home! Piece of cake!!! Just a

3500 mile round trip! No problem. But you never know!

From what they said, there weren't too many details. But they were apparently trying to get in touch with their feelings or something, and it became emotional.

Oh dear.....I was thinking about checking into having them come to our guild.....they are in the Chicago area I believe. Sounds rather "deep".

We DO have an airport or two around here somewhere and you DO know a few ppl in the Phoenix area that MIGHT like to see you on your way up/back from there.

True, true....that's takes all the adventure out of it though! Not sure I'd trust my sewing machine to any airline these days. I also thought DH wouldn't protest if I was going to visit my parents and didn't strong arm him to come along. Who would know if I sneaked over to Flagstaff for a few days???? heheheh (Well....maybe my parents.)

There you go....putting it all into perspective!

Yes, the DH did mention that they live in Chicago. I never met the DW, since one or the other of them took turns caring for their young DD during the entire time -- the DH apparently got to attend the evening functions.

I'm with you, though, Kathyl -- that isn't the sort of thing that calls to me.

Now I'm really intrigued! I saw her last night at a quilt show meeting but we were rather busy with that. I'll have to call her and get the scoop.

I really enjoyed the article about the two of them in American Patchwork and Quilting a few months back (April maybe?) Their book is quite nice too. Hmmm....they are coming to our guild to speak next year; wonder if they gang be crying instead of laughing ;-)

Could also be the whole, one person starts it and the group falls apart. Like on that dancing show where one kid starting crying in the lyrical class and the teacher got the rest of them going to "let it all out." Artistic manipulation I call it. But then I'm old and jaded.

Oh, please let me know what she says, Marcella!

And I'm even older and jaded-er -- I'd rather enjoy myself than cry. If I feel like crying, a nice movie or book is just fine with me -- it's more private that way.
