Jenny Raymond?

Not to be confused with Jennie Rayment, of course. ;) I was wondering if anyone here has ever made any of her bags? I'm specifically interested in her neck purse and/or "A Touch of Parie" (sic). If you have, are her instructions easy and clear? How did you like the finished product?

Thanks! :)

I made her "Easy on the Back Bag". I don't know if any of these comments apply to her other patterns. It was pretty easy, though the directions could have been written a bit more clearly. It was a bit unusual, as you started by taking the entire yardage for the bag and for the lining and fusing them together. Then you cut the pieces and sew them together. There is no other interfacing or lining. The hardest part was probably fusing those two big pieces of fabric. I do like the bag and find it quite comfortable to carry. I made the smaller size.

Thanks, Julia, for the information. :) It does sound a bit odd, with the fusing coming that way. That means that all of the seams must be finished separately, right?

Yes, the seams are finished separately, though that's not as bad as it sounds as on that particular bag, there are only two main seams to finish.

Thanks again, Julia. Now I need to think about whether I really *need* to do this. ;)
