Hi all,



Has anyone ever made this quilt? It's quite easy and unusual. I ordered pre-cut kit of 9 blocks from a seller on e-bay that sells cut blocks. Here is my dilemma. I'd like to make it and make more squares but I'm somewhat leary of what I'm measuring from the precut one. I did a search and Alex Alexander had the block on her site but no instructions or information. So the rectangles I received are 2 3/4" X



5". Putting it together will be easy and if anyone wants the 2 graphics that I got with the pre-cut blocks send me a message privately and I'll scan them to send out. The pieces put together end up looking like a scrappy quilt with black friendship stars. However this is all strips and the way you put the strips together creates the star so your not working with triangles.

Hope someone has made this or has the actual instructions and cutting information on it.

On Alex Anderson's site you can click on the word "piecing" to get the piecing instructions for any of the blocks in her "Block Party". I did see your square there, but didn't pull up instructions. I'm sure you can find them there.

Dorothy, I had another thought but my message added before I could add it all. A dear quilting friend "squishied" me with a gorgeous pre-cut quilt block kit. I jumped into it and loved the pattern and the fabric. But it was cut wonky. There was no way to put the pieces together without them looking like a serving bowl. I measured the little pieces and, sure enough, none were quite the same size as the others of the same kind. I'm the world's worst when it comes to precision cutting, but I do a better job than what was in that beautiful and lovingly given kit. So, if you can't make your pre-cut blocks go together right, dont beat up on yourself. Good chance they're not as they should be.
