I must make a quick quilt

I just found out that an online friend in another newsgroup has an agressive form of brain cancer. She was not supposed to be alive this long, but now they're even giving her chemo and considering radiation. She has a chance....at least for a bit more time. I have to make a quilt for her. Fast. OMG... you should see my sewing room. With all of Janae's things moved in and heaped on every possible surface including on top of everything and undere everything and there is no way I can use my sewing machine in there. I have a super easy pattern picked and will cut on the floor this afternoon. Now I have to sew fast. I think on the kitchen table. Wherever. Send me energy and think quilty thoughts my way.

Sunny prayers accepted gratefully

Sunny My prayers are with you both. Next time you have to make a quilt get the pattern called 5 easy pieces. It works up in a breeze and cute too. You stack and whack the 5 pieces from a fat quarter. they go together in one night. Then you can tie it or quilt it. which ever you can do faster. Good Luck. Brenda

Rail Fence is pretty quick. Get your strip sets done... and then you're off and running. Minimal points matching. You can even stretch the block size by widening the width of your strips!

Prayres for your friend.

Sunny, dear, your plate has been full to overflowing. Prayers for your friend and may your quilt go together quickly and easily. Bless you for once again having the courage to help another friend thru this horrible disease. I worry for you and your health. Please take a little time for yourself to renew and gather some more strength.

Hugs,

Leslie

Rail fence makes a really nice, versatile block, too. You can make it look so many different ways. It would be *really* fast if you could talk a friend into helping you cut strips. Then there's those Jelly Rolls they sell now......that would be fast but I'm not sure how expensive it would be. Good luck!

I second Leslie's note. I could have composed for hours and not said it better. Take care, Sunny.
