Ideas wanted for puppy quilt

Here is a pattern for a Cavalier King Charles spaniel. Putting the tartain colors on the outside would be really great.

Actually, I like the idea of a puppy shower! BUT, I would request food so we could donate it ALL to a local animal shelter. PAT

Our local library often has collection for animal food. I do not go to pet supply shops, but I think some do collect for the shelter. This reminds me that I need to sort the old towels and deliver a few to the shelter. Those make soft bedding.

I do understand about the weather "breeding" all kinds of indoor activities... I mean.. uh... er.. that is... well, you know, things like puppy showers and ice sculpting and fabric rootling. So, how was the puppy shower? Lots of ducking when the ceiling opens and the puppies start raining down? What kind of party food is there? Pupsicles and pupcakes and woofy bars? Peanut butter chews? Minty Dentabones? ;-D And party favors! What about the party favors? Chewy socks and rawhide shoes & sparkly collar necklaces? oooo--- I may be sorry I missed that! Would be nice if everyone goes home w/ a signed mini-quilt, a little coaster-size quiltlet w/ the Main Puppy's paw print stamped in the middle of it. ;-)
