in case you didn't know...

Today is: do all the jobs you have been avoiding day!

so make a list (I *know* you have more than one nasty job lurking), cut between the different jobs, put the slips in a glass and pull one slip out (no changing jobs now!) *do* that job! go on! you *can* do it!

I have already:

  • tidied up all of my youngest's new toys that he was given for his birthday yesterday
  • removed the last of the junk from the boxroom next to youngest's bedroom so he can use the boxroom as his sleeping area and have more space in the rest of his room to play

next up: re-home some boxes in the attic which means making space in the attic first, putting the door from the boxroom in then the boxes (can't leave the door on the boxroom or it would get too stuffy and hot)

oh what fun! *not*

Funny...without knowing it, that's how I've already gotten up and started my day by preparing to do something I've been procrastinating on...

I cannot do all the jobs I've been avoiding in one day. Just to observe the occasion though I am willing to take on one. The worst is the toaster oven, guess I'll go de-crumb it and wash its face. We don't want to get too crazy. Polly

Sorry! I'm a big believer in "Eat a frogm first thing each day and nothing worse can happen" theory. So every morning before coffee I tackle one ugly job. No more, no less. I go on and enjoy the rest of the day and that list never gets long ;-) Today I ironed an obscene amount of fabric that I coffee dyed over the weekend and squared it up so that when I have time, I can give it a quick quilt job and have a new couch quilt... in lovely coffee colors :-)

Nope -- no way -- that sort of behaviour is against my religion -- besides, that's what I keep Ol'watzisname around for -- LOL! I mean, I was up and off to workout before eight this AM -- what MORE can a middle aged GOW (Grumpy Old Woman) be expected to do??? Besides, remember those wonderful words of wisdom....... "Dust is a Protective Coating" and "My idea of sweeping the room is to do it in a glance" :-)! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Have run to the dump already and taken the last load of mended sheets back to Equipping the Saints for shipment to the Sudan. Children are in a cranky/foul mood (probably because they didn't want grandparents to leave), so I don't know how much more will actually get done. WIll work on getting the Blanket of Hope that is put with it's backing finished up and in the box, and possibly cutting and installing the remaining piece of toekick, but that is probably pushing my limits for the day.

Got first coat of paint on DDs trim, but once it dried I was able to see how splotchy it was, so I need to do a second coat...NOT looking forward to that .

It would take most of the day just to make a list and cut it apart! But, in the spirit of things, I guess I could at least make the list. Then maybe DH and I could start tackling one job each day and have everything done in the next five weeks that needs to be done before DK#2 arrives to join our family....

There's just so much to do when you have a baby coming to stay. And the lack of energy being 8 months pregnant isn't helping either!

I think you can qualify for a baby exemption status ;-)

one job is enough - you don't want to give the gators the idea you have lost your reason and are not capable of taming them anymore - nope that would not do!

go Polly go!!

ohhhh well done! I can't do much before coffee on the best of days let alone the ones I don't want to be awake!

Wooo HOOO well done Larisa! that was a lot of sheets you did in a *very* short space of time!

bummer about the re-paint! I hate re-painting :-(

Dusting??? me??? HAHAHAHAHA!!! I am doing the jobs I keep on putting off as they are such hard work - dust is good for kids - it avoids asthma and other nasty stuff. A GOW doesn't have to do more than that! doing a workout in the early am *can* be a nasty job one would want to putt off - if only to avoid all the mirrors they insist on putting in gyms ;-)

I got the job of moving the boxes to the attic and the door too (note to self: don't drop *another thing on the same foot - 2 heavy objects in 2 days is enough!)

took the play garage out of the attic and put it in youngest's room now that there is space.

put the arm chair from my room ( no space for it anymore) into oldest's room in the attic (not the storage area - we have a bedroom up there too) and carried the kiddie set of table and chairs to youngest's room

when I have finished icing my foot I am off to put the stuff I took from the box room and dumped onto my bedroom floor onto the shelves I have put up for them

then it's time for a dinner break!

We we *hafta*? I guess I've already done part of that, though. I've cleaned bathrooms already (been up since 4:00, when DH got up to go fishing -- his fishing partner didn't show up, so DH was home again by

5:30) and will soon do my eye exercises. Folding laundry is next on the agenda -- a gigantic load of towels. :S

that sounds like a sensible plan all things considered! I didn't move off the sofa much the last few months of pregnancy - my hip ligaments got too loose too soon and I could barely walk towards the end!

one a day for DH to do is a grand idea!

yes you hafta! Well done on getting the bathroom done while I was having my first cup of coffee and wondering if I was alive or imagining it

go on.. it won't take long to do towels! you could whine if it was undies and socks!

You don't think I want to be fully awake to do these jobs do you? Cleaning the fish tanks (yesterday's job) is REALLY better if you aren't awake enough to smell or fully comprehend the yuckiness of it

Reply to

LOL yes but I do need to be awake - don't have any pets so no yucky pet homes /litter trays/poo to scoop in the am :)

Hurray! I didn't know that, and I did them all at the weekend >gg< Some have been waiting for months ... and months ... >g< . In message , Jessamy writes

That's the only pet related one I have and that one is only once a month. Others that fall into eat a frog category would be weeding flower beds, scrubbing baths, cleaning out fridge, vacuum, cleaning out of closets, etc. All I do not to be fully alert for and would rather not be, afterwards coffe & shower make it all seem like a bad dream that is over and the rest of my day is guilt free ;-)
