I started the day off right.....I stayed in bed an hour longer than usual. Then ate a leisurely breakfast and took a long shower. Went out and did some necessary shopping and returned home to work on a baby quilt for my neighbor. I'm afraid that I won't be doing anything a should be doing for the rest of the day....I just have to get busy on the baby quilt. The baby will be here very soon. Sorry, I must quilt today ;-)

oh yes the fridge.. I didn't put that on the list

oh well I got a lot done already!

putting stuff on shelves is half done - I should have worn dust protection! I am sitting out a bout of sneezing now :-( I *hate my allergies!

Yeeyap! and except for delivery of some items tomorrow and a related activity it is done, done, done!

Now waiting for the allergies to die down before pursuing the berry question....

WOOO HOOO!!! well done!!

I'm doing the same before I tackle the next job: sorting kiddie clothes and taking the old ones to the neighbour who collects them to take to a children's home in Poland

Oh I sympathize! If you have been dusting, one of hte best things to do is to hop in a quick cool/lukewarm shower and make sure you have rinsed your hair and face really well -- hair tends to hold onto dust and pollen more than other parts....and put those clothes to be washed right away as well.....

My allergy issues the last week aren't so easy to trace so I'm biding my time until the allergist office reopens and I can get a shot on Wed.

Thanks Tricia! I will do just that as soon as I have done with all the chores today - part of the time I have been wearing a bandanna over my face - outlaw style and it works a treat! however I forgot how much dust books collect! so I will finish the job later (when I can reach the rest of the stuff I need to put on the shelves) with the bandanna on again

mind you the flowers my mother gave yesterday are *not* helping :-(

BTDT! Today being Monday and all, I cleaned all the bathrooms and the kitchen, dusted and vacuumed, changed the sheets, did all the laundry and ironing. Made 7 6.5" stars (you should be pleased!) Cut the grass and pruned back a few bushes. Did a quick run to the store for some salad and fruit (by bicycle). Supervised the plumber, who came to install a new washbasin upstairs. Did a little hand sewing in between, while waiting for the plumber to finish. No jobs left, have to think of some new ones! Roberta in D

I'm sorry!

you are probably tired from fence building though! I found it backbreaking the time I built my mother a 6 foot fence all the way round her garden. (my then DH has 2 left ads and was not capable of doing it and yes the fence is still standing)

I got the clothes sorted too! next job: put the too small for oldest and too large for youngest clothes that I used to keep in boxes in the boxroom in a new storage area. I'm plugging along so as to have as much done as I can before the kids come home from staying the night at ex's tomorrow - these are all jobs I can't do with the kids here and get done in a reasonable time

B-but that would mean that I had to clean out the container cupboard!! Nooooooooo! :-0 Wait! DD always loved getting in there and tossing everything out...maybe I could pull a Tom Sawyer and remind her how much fun she used to have. Yeah, that's it. Then I can keep on quilting my swap blocks. (where there's a will there's a way). chipper

Ah, thank you Jan! I have yet to even get around to making the list on paper. It is still only in my head! I'm in the doctor's office twice a week, every Monday and Thursday, so I sometimes don't get much else done!

Jessamy, I don't move off the couch unless I have to! I do try to get at least one day of walking exercise in each week, but I try very hard not to push it too much! :-)

Howdy!

What is this, International Call a Plumber Day? Got rudely woken this morning w/ a message, "plumbing is backed up; call someone as soon as you can" so I did, at 8 a.m.. Plumber was here 2 hrs later (very quickly, on average) and took care of the problem. $$ Then I rushed to catch up on the chores (Today is Monday; Monday: Wash Day, everybody happy? well I should say!), rescue some fabric from the dryer, taxi older (visiting) son around & catch a bite of lunch (okay, several bites, fabulous salad), more laundry, water flowers, rearrange Tuff Shed so son can find his stuff, rootle garage for more of son's stuff (why is this my responsibility? I know where my stuff is!), it's too damn' hot outside to do more running around, clean up what couldn't be cleaned while the water was off, more laundry, and then finally a chance to sit down in the cool front room, listen to some Maeve Binchy short stories and quilt, quilt, quilt, glorious quilting, save-my-sanity quilting. Any other chores, any extra chores, can be done by someone who is bothered by them not being done.

Ragmop/Sandy--not avoiding chores, just deeming them unnecessary (I don't remember older son being this hyperactive!?!)
