Info needed

A friend in NV emailed me with this question "Do you have a list or know where I can see a list online for costs to bind a quilt or hand quilt by sizes?" Can anyone help her?

I think most places are fairly in line with each other. And most charge by the square inch with charges going up for more detailed designs.

here are some sites with prices. Some are ppl I know, some are not.

I have prices for binding from our local store, it's by linear inch, so you'd need to add up the lengths of the sides to get a price, I'll do approx queen (80*80) and crib (50*70) to give a vague idea.

Option 1 is the preparation and machine attaching, option 2 finishes it completely (I think by machine, but I don't know what the finished result looks like)

So, option 1 is $0.15 if straight grain, $0.20 if bias, which works out as $48 for a queen and $36 for a crib if straight and $64/%48 if bias.

Option 2 is $0.25 straight and $.30 bias, so $80/$60 straight and $108/$72 bias.

I think hand quilters are much rarer and likely to be very expensive!
