I am a day early but given the weekend I was wondering if there is celebrating going on at Sandy/Ragmop's house? Balloons? Streamers? Presents" Good eats? CAKE? I hope you are starting up a week of celebration Sandy. Best wishes for a happy birthday and many more to come! Hugs, TAria

And what's in the Goody Bags that each of us gets to take home? Is it German Chocolate cake with the REAL Frosting?

Howdy!

There was cake! Chocolate over chocolate, a rather small cake, and it was good.

There are tulips, opening their faces wide to the sun streaming in the backroom windows. There is a portable t.v. (hd equipped) in the dining room for me to watch while I sew. And there is a 1951 Singer Feather-weight sitting on the treadle cabinet in the front room. It has been a very nice birthday! And yesterday we voted (& won that round). It snowed here, Monday night. First time I've had birthday snow since we moved here in *19*89 (want to get the century right for those who cannot tell). Snow. SNOW!!!! It was gone before it hit the ground, this far south, but there were several inches of "accumulation" just north of us.

Hope y'all enjoyed the virtual Good Bags, along w/ your virtual cake. The choice of fat quarters is yours: imagine any color & number your mind can hold, then enjoy.

Nightmist, thanks for the b-day song; different version-- cool!

Today someone at the grocery store guessed that I was 45 yrs old. I said, "I bet you say that to all your customers." *simper*smirk* Well, it was "Senior Day" w/ 10% discount for all shoppers over the age of 55; I ain't there, yet. But closing in. ;-P

I've been quilting, of course. Rootling & shopping the stash. Got the little boy's quilt top & backing put together, will spend some time this evening pin-basting it. It's cute, I say myself. ;-) Finished top is about 60" square, because it just did what it wanted.

Meanwhile, here's a guilt-free treat for all of you. The message would read "Happy Birthday to each of you on your day. I hope you celebrate for at least a week!"

For YOUR HB, *I* had a piece of REAL chocolate, I had one piece and DH had the other of the Almond Joy. YUM

Still pretty much make sure there is something besides plain chocolate. staying away from M&M's cause I KNOW I'd have more than a couple. Guess it'll take me awhile to realize I *CAN* have chocolate. Yes, there IS licorice on my desk ; )

Butterfly (thanks for the Poiple FQ's)
