I love lime green too! thank goodness the new lines of fabric t his year have good colors and amazing designs. Of course, the prices are climbing too -- saw one or two sites where the "good stuff" was upwards of $12 a yard. YIKES!! How does a poor woman quilt?? Oh well, LIME RULES! LOL

All I can say is you have made a believer out of me. I was short a bit of fabric recently when I was doing a jewel box quilt. And I thought it was a tad dark anyway. And I thought... there's a jewel that's a lime green... I know I've seen it... and Jeanne is always saying lime... so I threw it in there and it was awesome! :-)

And I even bought a half-yard of lime when I was in Paducah on Friday and a half-yard of a darker green with lime in it! I'm not totally converted yet, but I'm at least starting to believe!

What a lovely site!! Ya know Jeanne, between you and I, we could likely wipe out the quilting world of lime greens.....

So........ is your credit card on fire??

Jan: That Lime Green gemstone is Peridot. DDIL made me earrings with Peridot, silver, pearl, and some Purple glass beads. Very cool!

What is the background of your Jewel Box Quilt? I have a JB UFO of M&M colors with both black and white as background. I really should finish that soon. I have the M&M 2000 fabric for back or border.

is a link to mine. *Warning* it was to play with different quilting background fillers to demonstrate how they change the look.... some people have a hard time visualizing it... not normally something I would do to one quilt I absolutely love how the lime brightened it up.

I'm a lime green junkie too. I was in a workshop with a friend & she was missing an accept color in a mostly blue wallhanging. Ta-da - I produced the perfect complement - lime green. It really made the wall hanging pop & she loved it. She's a believer in the power of lime green now!

That's my birthstone. The ring I got for my 16th birthday isn't really a lime green though, much more pastel than that. Though mine is likely a synthetic stone, knowing the economic state of my parents. KJ
