John, saving the world one bag at a time.

I though I would post some pictures of some of the Grocery bags I made for a contest on Pattern Review. They are an answer to the age old question (Paper or Plastic?). I liked them so much that I made some for Christmas Presents. It is a great way to use up some of your left over quilting squares. Also on view are clothing labels I had made up, to sew into the clothing I make. Kind of a play on words.

LOL Cindy Taylor Oates company name is "Taylor Made Designs". She has several books out, all sorts of sewing stuff from pajamas and aprons to lots of different bags. Also shirts and other clothing.

I taught a class yesterday on the Lazy Girl "With Love Tote" which also makes a great shopping bag. (The pattern is in the free pattern section on the Lazy Girl site.) Also works real well, in various sizes, as a dual purpose gift bag.

No, these are basically like Highland pipes but with more normal tuning. They are VERY VERY LOUD (think of a soprano sax blasting away at absolute top volume) which means you need to pump furiously to keep the air flowing.

Ah, a decent amount of noise, then. ;)

Can't play, but I love the pipes in almost every form.

I like the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. Loads of fun, that lot.
