Same here. The site seems to be having problems the whole day so far. I'll bet she is referring to the monthly emailed blocks.
You can pre-order for August 15 beginning a 1-year subscription of emailed monthly patterns and access to a pattern database. That's what I signed up for in the beginning of July. I have been very satisfied with products I have ordered from the Kansas City Store (the Kansas City Star newspaper) before. I was willing to blow twenty bucks.
I got an email announcement from the Kansas City Store because I have ordered from them before.
