Any chance you were using a dryer sheet? They tend to do that on fabrics with synthetics in them. I don't use dryer sheets anymore, it got annoying!

This happened to me once and I called out the repairman to fix the washer. I had been using a less expensive soap to wash with---not detergent. Also, I had just washed some of my DH's dirty jeans. Repairman said the spots were dirt & oil from the jeans that had not rinsed off the holes in the washer tub. He told me to use a better detergent. So I use the better stuff on the real dirty clothes and the washer comes clean so the dirt won't get on the whites when I wash them next. HTH Barbara in SC "Allison"

Good reminder, Barbara, that we need to be vigilant when we process some 'nasty' stuff in the washer and dryer. When I wash that type laundry, I follow up with a stack of towels that only go to the gym or the pool, so those will catch the problem before I add my nicer clothing or (gasp) fabric! PAT

I've just been sitting at home, watching msn block the ports that newsgroup servers use. :-(

Finally gave in and am using the Google interface again. It's not perfect but it's better than it used to be!

Try setting your dryer for less time. I find if stuff gets too dry, it gets static...but if I have it get just barely dry, there is little or no static.

My dryer has a sensor for how dry things are. You can set it for "more dry" or "less dry" or anywhere in between "More or less dry" is what I call the setting exactly halfway between the other two settings, and it seems perfect. :-)
