Its beautiful. You must be so proud of it.
But what are 20-cent geese?

That look fabulous, Nann! My guild is going to be doing a monthly block of FGs - I'll be sure to point out your quilt as an example!
Sally,
It took four nickel squares (5") to make each block. Four nickels = twenty cents!

Congratulations, Nann. How exciting for you! To be in the same magazine as Ruth McDowell - oh joy! To be in a magazine at all - with a photograph of your quilt. Just great. The quilt is really lovely, too. I'm not confident enough to do a scrappy - but this is tempting >g< . In message , Nann Hilyard writes

Each block in my quilt is made from two pairs of 5" squares. The blocks measure 4-1/2" x 8-1/2" unfinished.

Ooo! That was my favorite one on the page! I love the colors!

What a lovely Scrappy Thing!

Thanks so much for the information and the pictures, Julia. Seeing a selection like that really does make it seem possible. I prefer the jewel boxes and the Aunt Sukey's Choice. I'm not quite ready for the friendship ring - but, then, you graduated to it!! I have done one, but it was monochrome and very small. It was using all the scraps I had in one colour! I might progress and try two or three (colours) >g< But it is something I certainly would like to do. I did one I hated, and that rather put me off (it hasn't yet been finished!) . Actually, I didn't piece the friendship ring quilt. I bought the top at an auction and quilted it.

Very nice - love the colours!

What was Anita demonstrating. Because the show for Monday in my area is Baby Quilts also. I could maybe look on the directory under what is being taught on each upcoming show to find the one you are going to be on.
Thanks,

She -- and any other confused persons ;-),
Please note -- *Anita Grossman* will be on the Oct 24 show.
*Our Marcella* will be doing an "Ask Alex" segment on Sept 12. The Ask Alex segments are not usually listed by name of person so you wouldn't see it in the listings probably. So it is tomorrow, Sept 12, that you need to watch to see Marcella.)O( Anne > What was Anita demonstrating. Because the show for Monday in my area is Baby
