Sandra Dallas books- on topic

I tried this post yesterday, but it didn't seem to take, so if it is a duplicate, please excuse me.

Has anyone else ever read books by Sandra Dallas. I just finished my first "Prayers for Sale" and I highly recommend it. It has many things I like in a book, including historical fiction, quilting, and a happy ending. What's not to like. I have ordered another one that my library doesn't have since I enjoyed this one so much.

Just about all of them, beginning w/ "The Persian Pickle Club".

My favorite historical non-fiction from a quilter: "No Time On My Hands" by Grace Snyder. Wonderful story.

Thanks, Heidi - I've added this one to my list of books to read. I've read a few - Persian Pickle Club, The Chili Queen, and Diary of Mattie Spenser (which I really enjoyed - and if you try it and like it, you should read "These Is My Words" by Nancy Turner).

The only one I read was the Persian Pickle Club. Loved it.

I read the two follow-up books as well - they were good, but I liked the first one best. I just picked up The Water And The Blood - also by Nancy Turner. Hopefully it'll be as good as the others.

I met her at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Denver last January. She was charming. She said that she didn't set out to write books for quilters, but she soon found that the 'demographic' for whom she writes happens to include quiltmakers, and quiltmakers are readers, and she's found out how large that audience is.

These Is My Words is one of my all time favorite books. I've read Sarah's Quilt & Star Garden & really enjoyed them as well, but These Is My Words is the best, in my opinion.

Have read ALL of Sandra Dallas books - I always enjoy them. I thought Tall Grass was a departure from her other books - but it was a great book as well.
