today was the day.. Tia Mary and I got to meet as *last*
a quick phone call before I left meant we both knew who to look for in the hotel lobby but as I found out when I arrived there was no need.. only a quilter/needle worker would be sitting in the hotel lobby doing needlework! after introducing her to my youngest DS who came along for the day Tia Mary couldn't wait another moment to give me the *big* surprise she had gotten: a
8 1/2 x 24 inch omnigrip ruler!! it was a good thing I was sitting as I was stunned (and happily so!) it was *just* what I had been eyeing but hadn't been able to afford! then it was my turn to hand over the bag of goodies I had for Tia Mary: lots of different types of chocolate, some different types local cookies and some fabric printed in Helmond (where I live) Tia also had some other wonderful goodies for me like the jelly belly jelly beans ( any MMMM!!! sounds you may hear are from me! ) and some kitty fabrics for the insane hexagon project! then it was off to the not so LQS housed in an oil water mill built in 1502 where upstairs we found *lots* of fabric, some needlework stuff and downstairs housed the notions, trims and sewing machines. Tia Mary found some things she couldn't leave without as well as the book written by my friend Wendy Vosters {ohhh caramel apple!! yum!} then it was off to lunch where I showed off "my" magazines and some of my quilts and then it was time to run as I had to collect my DS from school on time which we didn't make but thanks to modern technology in the shape of my mobile phone I managed to get a friend to collect him for me. {Lemon lime!! delish!!}
I dropped Tia Mary off at the hotel again and "raced" home to collect my DS from my friends house - I'm about to wander off and put my feet up and see what other yummy jelly beans there are... maybe I ought to sort them.....
