Merry Christmas, Quilters!

Are you sure it's okay to say that? Remember what happened to Imus. Polly

Seasons Greetings to one and all. Being the good little Dane I am we ( DS, DDIL, her mother & brother) had "Christmas" here last night. Big turkey dinner.....yes, *I* remembered to put the turkey in the oven ;).....off to Candle Light Service.....back to have dessert and open presents. Today it's "the other Christmas" at DS's house. Rumors of prime rib dinner and a marathon of viewing the Christmas gift movies while we are all beached on the couch mumbling oaths of not to eating again till sometime in March.

Mister Oliver the resident QI is happy that there is once again a place for snoozing under the tree. All our horrible storms and rain have so far declared a 'cease fire' for the holidays.....life is good.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from another "M" state.

Chilly and gray -- a typical winter day in Michigan. But inside we're warm. My boy from LA is here as is my Chicago boy!

Grandma is up from Ohio!

Everyone have a wonderful day ... and have a Happy New Year!!!

And [central] coastal California checking in. It is clear but very windy here, scattered power outages occurring. And cold, low humidity. Pray for no fires this time.

Merry Christmas everyone from the Eastern Shores of Canada (Upper Coverdale, New Brunswick to be exact). Day started out sunny but has clouded over somewhat and the wind has come up. Roads are clear for travel. Turkey is in the oven and the house is smelling scrumptious. Neighbours should arrive in about an hour, then we'll tip a few and stuff our faces. Good thing about it, they can all walk home. :-)) Have a good one!!

Wishing all a peaceful Christmas from sunny and coolish Spring, Texas.

Santa brought 2 Wiis, 2 laptops, and 2 iPOds to our house today so all the children are very happy and quiet. DH is playing with his new GPS device an I am getting ready to use my new chef knives to prepare a casserole of escalloped potatoes and several legs of lamb for popping into the oven. Banana pudding was prepared yesterday.

just following the crowd of posts from all over for yesterday, lol. finally got to bed around 12:30, slept right thru til 8 am. that for me is a long sleep without a pit stop in the middle of the night. no one else is up yet, lucky them to sleep in so late, i never can. never did cut into the big cheesecake yesterday or the jelly. tried the lemon meringue ice cream tho, it was scrummy. had small mince pies with brandy cream on top too. that was it for the sweets. mmmmmm, strawberrys for breakfast with ham and eggs, yep, now if someone else would get up i could justify cooking. til then i'm online playing games. Happy Boxing Day to one and all. my commiserations to Heather in Perth for the HEAT and HUMIDITY you are slogging thru. i'd faint that day away for sure. cheers, j.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! :) Ours is noisy and busy. Last night we were at an in-law's house for Christmas Eve tamales and visiting. This morning 15 came here for breakfast and gifts. In a couple of hours we'll be approximately 30 at DD#2's house for dinner. Lots of kids, lots of noise -- and a nice, quiet house to come home to afterwards. ;) Tomorrow DH's sister leaves, and the next day his mom leaves and we'll get back to normal. LOL!
