Mini Block Swap 2006 Memories

Hello all!

I don't come by much anymore but I wanted you all to know I was thinking about you this weekend. My guild's quilt show is in March

2009. I don't have ANYTHING to show for it yet. I decided I would get out my old WIP's and work on them so I'd have things to put in the show. I came across a baggie of the loveliest pieced, paper pieced, and appliqued mini blocks from a RCTQ block swap dated 2006. All the blocks contained black, green, and purple among other colors. Wow I forgot how pretty they were. I am going to whip them up into something lovely for the show.

It was like a trip down memory lane flipping thorugh them and reading all the signatures of all you folks. I forgot just how talented you all are too. Gorgeous little blocks. Also brought back many memories of swaps we all did together.

I think I will dig out my stars blocks too and finally make them into a quilt.

When I have some photos I'll post them. :)

Just stopping in to say hi for a bit!!!!! I hope you are all quilty well!

Melissa - good to see you here. Not sure that I ever mentioned that I got to see your entry in last year's Lahaska, PA quilt show and it was BEAUTIFUL! Great work. The quilting was exquisite. Good luck w/ your current project.

Awww give me a big head why dontcha. :) Hehe. That was a fun quilt to make. Very labor intensive for a little quilt. That little Peddler's Village quilt show is of course small, but amazingly stiff competition because the judges are sticklers for not only design but execution. I love that little show! Thank you for mentioning that you saw it and for the compliments!!
