Mini Swap Pic Posted!

Finally got around to posting the wallhanging that I made with the blocks from Melissa's Mini Block swap awhile back......that was a fun swap. Wasn't sure if I would like the 3 1/2 inch size, but now I'm hooked...LOL. Pic posted in the fun sewing stuff catagory.

I really love that setting, Diane. It's so different, with the on point blocks at the bottom not being 'filed in', and the change to those three straight set blocks at the top. Lovely. In fact, it was a few seconds before I even looked at the blocks themselves! . In message , Diane F. writes

I really love your setting! It's such fun to see how differently you've used the blocks.

The front of mine is finished - I hope to get the back done soon and then I'll take photos.

That was a really good swap!

Hi Diane,

I really like the setting you choose for your swap blocks! Did you use the siggie blocks on the back of your quilt?

OH I do like that layout! So much so that I just pulled out the 18 6" siggy blocks from Terbear's purple and green stars swap and as soon as I can find the pale green I used to set my swap quilt, I'll be making a wall hanging/banner out of them! Yay! one more to add to my "to be quilted" pile :-)

Is that a Dear Jane quilt in your webshots? I am seriously thinking of giving it a try.....how big are the blocks?

Thanks Pat!

It was a new technique to me, not filling in the bottom points, not sure if the inside point were done right.....but I just remember that galloping horse theory...LOL.

Hi Bonnie,

No...not yet, I am going to hand stitch them down now that the grandkids vacation is over. I was in a rush to get it done before the company came. I took a pic of the layout and the siggy blocks in the right position so I could add them later.
