Morning Glory revisited

Just once more will I bother you with my Trellis of Morning Glory.I was having trouble getting it to hang right .Had a bulge in the middle. I tried putting more quilting.Weighting the bottom, pressing and steaming. All to no avail. The problem was solved when iIhad a lightbulb moment. I had stretched the binding a little too much. After unpicking it all I slackened it off and rejoined it. There was almost an inch needed putting in. I am always afraid of waves at the edge and was over enthusiastic I guess. It might help someone else though! PS. I have put leaves for the hanging. 2 leaves or 3 ? Please.

Estelle, it's just 'glorious'! Absolutely lover-ly.

I hate to do this to you, but I'd continue one or two of the vines up to the top and include the leaves on those vines- with the leaves at some angles rather than lined up and spaced evenly. More work for you, but I think it might really set it off well. Try pinning the leaves in place and see what you think.

Congrats on finishing a masterpiece and solving the problem with the binding!

I'd say three, as you have them. It looks good. . In message , Estelle Gallagher writes

It's gorgeous, Estelle. Definitely stick with the three leaves, though; odd numbers usually work better than even ones. :)

i'd toss in a few more flowers/vines/whatever is needed running up to the leaf holders. make it as off centre aka natural looking as you can. i'd move the leaves around so not all three are together nor all facing point down, just not natural look'n enough for me. i wonder about some actually hanging off the edge of the quilt, hmmmm. just me thunk'n outloud again, give that no mind, lol. at least you can pin here, there and everywhere til you find what works before you start sewing. tis always a good thing, eh. i think it is looking pretty damn good overall. i'm totally impressed. j.
