I ran out of fabric when I got to the end of this quilt, plus I lacked enough for the binding. It was some fabric I'd bought last year, and I'd already bought the rest of the bolt at LQS. Couldn't find any more anywhere. So I googled. A website soewhere in Texas came up named "Quiltscapes." I ordered it, got a confirmation almost immediately. I had goofed up on the amount of yardage I needed, so I e-mailed them back. I got another nearly immediate response, "No Problem." This was about 6 or 7 o'clock last night. I got a shipping confirmation at 8 this morning saying the fabric would be shipped today. I'm not affiliated in any way with this site, and just found it via a random search, but I thought I'd share with ya'll how impressed I was with the service. Initially when I placed the order I thought the shipping was a little high ($6.99), but I was a desperate woman. Doesn't it just stink when you're *nearly* through, and you run out of your dominant, favorite fabric?
This was a pattern. The fabric requirements were really wacked. I had way, way too much of certain fabrics. I thought when I was buying 2 of them, and looking at the pattern, "That sounds like too much of that". And it was. I had whole yards of those 2 left, and ran out of the border fabric, even though I had allowed for binding, too. I think I'll write the author and ask what's up with that. I've re-read, re- read, and I've followed the pattern exactly. It's got to be a printing error.
