My guild turns 30yo in 2011, so our new challenge is "30s". The one hard and fast rule is the size: 30x30.

I think I might do a "30yo Susan" applique, too. It would have things from 3 big deals that happened that year for me... installing automation in a Canadian stell mill, working on my MBA at Lynchburg College, and working on a Computer Science Masters at VA Tech.I played around with a "30 stars" design (we *are* the star quilters after all), but nothing I came up with looked interesting enough -- and putting 30 pieced stars on a 30x30 is pretty tough -- unless you put half of them on the back.
