My first time - not really OT ;)

I made my first fabric postcard this morning.

I am not sure if the result justifies the amount of work that went into it - like spending half of the morning searching for the instructions to my sewing machine so I could use the fancy stitches :).

What do you all think?

The picture part is really good, Maria. And, yes, it does justify time spent finding out how to do the stitches. Only thing I would say (since you asked) is that, if you are going to make more of these fun little art works, I would advise a little more practice with getting a good satin stitch for the edges. I believe Leslie (who has done a *lot* of these) goes round twice - the second time with a slightly wider stitch. You would then cover all the base fabric/batting and the little 'whiskers' wouldn't show. Have I got that right Leslie? Very good indeed for a first attempt - I haven't even made one yet! . I think it's wonderful. Not only did you make a postcard, but you go to learn more about your machine. ;o) - thanks for sharing.
