I made my first fabric postcard this morning.

I am not sure if the result justifies the amount of work that went into it - like spending half of the morning searching for the instructions to my sewing machine so I could use the fancy stitches :).

What do you all think?

Hugs,

Thats great! They are addictive though I must warn you. I have now made 13! lol

Howdy!

Delightful.

As are your bookmarks and your other crafty items.

The postcard was worth the time and effort, Maria. Delightful!

Well, I think that, as long as you enjoyed doing it, the results are certainly worth the effort! :)

My vote? WAY worth it! Dancing in the moonlight for ya, Maria!

The picture part is really good, Maria. And, yes, it does justify time spent finding out how to do the stitches. Only thing I would say (since you asked) is that, if you are going to make more of these fun little art works, I would advise a little more practice with getting a good satin stitch for the edges. I believe Leslie (who has done a *lot* of these) goes round twice - the second time with a slightly wider stitch. You would then cover all the base fabric/batting and the little 'whiskers' wouldn't show. Have I got that right Leslie? Very good indeed for a first attempt - I haven't even made one yet! . It looks good and I'm sure it was fun and worth the effort. Keep making them!

I think it's wonderful. Not only did you make a postcard, but you go to learn more about your machine. ;o) - thanks for sharing.

I love it! There is just something about lighthouses. Linda in Tx
