My quilting hang-ups

Howdy!

The tax-&-registration expenses are set depending on where the vehicle's owner chooses to call "permanent address". Many Winter Texans find that these costs are lower in south Texas (where most of the Winter Texans live for 6 months) than in their northern home states, so they register in s.Tx for their "home address". Here in the more expensive Metroplex, people w/ lake homes, no matter how tiny, in another county will claim the cheaper place as their permanent residence, saving $$$ on the tax-&-registration & insurance.

Face it, Jeanne, you can RV it, but you can not hide!

We had friends who sold everything and bought an RV. They had to use a relative's address as their permanent address for taxes, licenses, etc. They traveled for several years, having trouble getting important mail forwarded etc. Finally bought another house and use their RV for the winter in the south.

works great if you have a relative there that you actually still know where they live (when they move they dont bother telling me, like now i'm not sure where they moved to last time but they did move).

Or if ya got a really good friend who wouldn't mind doing it for you. ;) It wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah, and then that way you can have the husband of the 'really good friend' take care of the mail, since he can't stand RVing.
