i never would have thought to put the rods in the wall like that! you could even fold them narrower and put twice as many quilts on there!! great job, john!!

I once ran across a guy who had a Semi-truck/trailer combination, that had the trailer part of it filled up with a pretty complete woodworking shop. A bunch of different woodworking shop tools and a workbench. He was single and liked to travel, and he used the truck as a home on wheels and a job site work place. He slept in the cab of the truck in one of those condo sleeper units behind the cab. There was a small refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, tv and I don't know what else. He even carried a small motorcycle in the trailer for getting about when he was stationary and working. I thought it was a kind of neat idea for a young guy who was footloose and fancy free. I don't think my wife would like to make the changes necessary to adopt that lifestyle, but it looked like a fun way to get around and earn some money. Thankfully, my days of having to earn a living are behind me, and I can do what I want, and not what I must.

well, John, you could always refit a tractor trailer so that 1/3 is living quarters, 1/3 is quilting quarters, and 1/3 is woodworking. And then you could travel anytime you want, meet new people, enjoy the outdoors, go to quilt shows, and build things for quilters!

You generally need a permanent address for mail- tax bills, driver's and vehicle license renewal, etc. Even if you travel full time you're gonna need a home base for your mail, I would think??? Or maybe have it delivered to a friend or relative and have them send it to General Delivery when you light for a period.... I'm not wealthy enough to have to worry about it!

eled around the country for 6 months. I had all my mail, bank statements, bi= lls and what not, sent to my sister's house and she was kind enough to act a= s the clearing house for any and all transactions. That is the only way we c= ould figure out how to do that and still stay solvent. It worked fine for us= , as you do need to have a place of record to send the bills to, if nothing = else.

Insurance, several kinds.

Because, after you've backed that sucker into a telephone box or the cable t.v. router, they'll want to find you to make you pay the damages. The local police, the RV park security, the lady who lost her internet connection, the quilt shop owner who is still peeved over the loss of the tree under which the RV was parked--oops, slipped into gear--*crunch*grrrrrrind*-- they'll all be looking for you.
