My well-trained hubby

Last evening I was making a quilt. My Hunky Mr. Collins peeked his head into the room and asked "how is the quilt coming along?" I said I was in a complete panic because I had run out of fabric. He glanced around the room- there were stacks of fabric on the sewing table, the cutting table, the ironing table and the ironing board, fabric in tubs under the sewing table, stacks of fabric on the floor and behind the door, on the shelves and more fabric stored in the garage

He just smiled.... a very BIG smile.... and didn't say a word. And we've only been married 2.5 years! VBG

Well, we knew he was a good dh from the beginning. Anyone with the first name 'hunky' has to be a fine man. That he is well-trained is just the icing on the cake. He is a good man but he is lucky to have found such a good woman even if she has run out of fabric. What I don't understand is how could you guys be married 2.5 years? Boy, it really does seem like yesterday. Taria

The German used to look sideways at my stash until I walked him down to the garage and asked him to explain why he had 2 cabinets, 4 tool chests, and then the side shed up by the house all containing assorted tools he may use from daily to once every 3-4 years. He told me he had them in case he needed them. I responded that my stash was there for the same reason. Now he just sighs...and builds more shelves when I run out of room. I started with a box. Now it's 12 shelves in one closet, a free-standing shelf unit with doors from Maul*mart, and a dresser in the sewing room, and 3 (or is it 4?) piles in what used to be the guest bedroom - and it can still be that if he gives me enough notice, though where I'll put the fabric is anyone's guess because the closet is full of batting.

Hey Trisha-

Where in MO are you?

I'm in St. Charles - About 30 miles west of St. Louis.

We're 7 1/2 miles south of exit 200, outside of Wright City, one mile past Innsbrook.

Hey, not too far. Been on Main Street in St. Charles? Come in for the Festival of the Little Hills?

Call me blonde. I've been to Patches, I think it's called, on Main Street, but I don't get out much any more...mostly just to the doctor and the grocery store. I order most of my fabrics from online stores I've used for 3 years or so or I go to the LQS in Troy or the JoAnn's by the mall (mostly for batting and thread). I've only been to St. Louis once unless you count numerous trips to the airport. I don't do city. 5 years in Tampa did enough city for my lifetime. I don't have friends here either so it's kinda boring to go places by myself. Nobody wants to hang around a drugged up ex-RN...LOL...being disabled can be tough on a natural social butterfly like myself. That's why I hang out on chat boards.
