New panel quilt finished

Apr 30, 2010 3 Replies

This is a panel, with prequilted backing and store bought silk binding. I don't mind the prequilted backing, that was a first for me. Also the silk binding was a first. Can't say I will ever do that again. But from afar it looks good. No way would I ever ever show it to a quilty friend.

I zigzaged the binding on both front and back at the same time. Just wanted this thing out of my house. And that will teach me again that I should keep my big mouth shut. I offered to do this and I shouldn't have. When I do things because I want to they are always good. This thing was done as quickly, and poorly as I could. I know that she will appreciate it anyways and it will get used and that's all that counts.

It should be the first two pics that pop up. Take Care Joanna

The silk binding looks good - was it it hard to work with? Was it precut blanket edging or did you cut it yourself? Allison

Well, it's a cute quilt even though you zipped along making it! I can just see a baby snuggled right up with it fingering that satin edge. I know the feeling of just wanting to get a project done though. I just did one myself that I didn't like doing. Happy was the day when it left my house! Some little one will love this though and be very happy with it. Donna
