New photos for 2010 projects

I finally got around toworking with the leftover blocks from the 'yellow' and the 'sparks oflime' table runners - I quilted most of the day yesterday andfinished it off today - the runner is headed to SC in the next fewdays. New album: Finished is Good! 2010... I also finished a frog catchit last week - all that remains is to decide the best way to join the frog hands to the lily pad. I weighted it down with lead curtain tape and stuffed a section of the lily pad with wool batting to make a pincushion. So far, Sammie hasn't tried to make a toy out of the dangling frogs' legs....I think that I will make a padded body version next time - I doubt that the fused one will stand up to time.

In the 'wips' album is the first of several bonnet kittens - I had to put this project away to work on the table runner! Polly shamed me into digging out my e-pattern for this kittie quilt! Losing my Jessie also urged me to work with this design for many more reasons.

The 'whooters' owl applique wallhanging is ready to finish fusing onto the background and then the fun stuff of choosing the thread colours, etc.

I should have my 'Forest Hollow' kit by the end of May - that will be fun! jennellh

What fun! Love the quilting on your runner. The kitty is so sweet. Had an idea about kitty ears -could one make a teensy little prairie point and cut a teensy slit in the bonnet, then insert the raw edge of the point and machine applique over it? Free-standing ear, sort of. The frog made me laugh. Roberta in D

What a productive quilter you are. I do admire your ability to produce arty yet functional things like the table runners. The frog is really cute too.

I really prefer making smaller items like table runners, baby quilts, lap quilts, etc. There isn't any call for bed-sized quilts in my life circle. jennellh
