What a very clever piece of floor piecing! I haven't yet decided how you divided between square and rectangle! Well disguised! I'm amazed at how well those Celtic patterns fit in with all those angular shapes. The Snowflake looks beautiful. Marvellous to see it like that. The curve of its pieces was derived from the spiral triangle curve - I first saw it in the introduction to Simply Quilts! Took me a while to fathom how to draw the curve. It's a very pretty shape.
Looking at the feather quilting on the spiral triangles is quite a coincidence. I've just got out the first of my UFO's to quilt. The wide sashing between rows is destined (I think?) to have free feathers. I will now ponder a while. . In message , Roberta writes

I tried to upload the original floor photo, which shows a border of glazed tiles with circle-based designs. Those became the celtic knots. But Webshots refused the photo 5 times :-p As for piecing it, it's really 4 blocks (on a 9-patch grid) with a pieced sashing.
It was such fun to piece those triangles -a little thrill of amazement that they actually go together and lie flat! Thanks to your accurate templates.
I do love feathers, so rewarding to quilt. Roberta in D
